Next Generation Modeling Courses for Teachers (NGMCs) are graduate-level online courses for physics and physical science teachers (grades 10-12) jointly supported by the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Department of Physics/Astronomy, College of Letters and Science, and College of Education and Human Services. Click Program Overview (or access from the left menu) for a complete program description. The NGMCs program is a proud partner of the

All NGMCs provide a suitable entry point into the Modeling Method of Physics Instruction and the concepts of Deep Learning in Introductory Physics. The NGMCs program actively seeks international participation.

Interested in obtaining a Master’s degree?  You can earn a Master of Science Education degree at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh by applying NGMC credits. The degree is 30 credits: 18 credits in topics related to physics teaching (i.e., NGMCs) and 12 credits in topics related to conducting educational research in the classroom. For more information, contact Dr. Joshua Morris (morrisj@uwosh.edu), Graduate Program Coordinator.
