Math Placement
Physics 191
Physics/Astronomy 191 (General Physics, calculus-based) is the first required physics course taken by all physics majors. This course is usually taken in the concurrently with Mathematics 171 (Calculus) in the freshmen year. Students must “place into” Mathematics 171 by taking the UW System Placement exam.
