On Monday, Feb. 20, 2012 at approximately 8:30 p.m. a female UW Oshkosh student was walking northwest on High Avenue approaching the area of Blackhawk Commons. After hearing noises coming from the bushes a male subject came out of the bushes and demanded that she come with him. The female student stated “No” and the male subject hit her with a closed fist. The female student kicked the male in the groin area and was able to run from that area to the safety of her residence hall. The male subject was last seen limping southeast on High Avenue.

The female student reported the incident to the UW Oshkosh Police during the late evening hours of 2/21/2012. The investigation is continuing.

DESCRIPTION OF SUSPECT

The following is a description of the suspect:

  • A heavy set black male
  • College age (late teens/early 20’s)
  • Approximately 6 feet tall
  • Bushy hair, approximately three to four inches long
  • Wearing baggy jeans, a blacked hooded jacket over a red t-shirt
  • Deep voice
  • Noticeable scar above his left eye near his temple.
