SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT – LOT 13

The University Police Department is investigating a suspicious incident that was reported at 8:33 pm on Thursday, June 27th, 2013.  Given the incident occurred on campus, we wanted to make the campus community aware.

INCIDENT DETAILS

A male UW Oshkosh student reported that he exited the Student Recreation and Wellness Center and was walking through University Lot 13 to his car with his shirt off.  The student reported that an older male approached him while he was sitting in his vehicle to leave.  The male introduced himself and said he owns a photography business and wanted to photograph him as he often photographs male athletes.  The student attempted to get a business card or business name so he could look it up on his phone and the suspicious male declined and then left the area in his white car (unknown make/model).

There were no threats made to the student and the person/vehicle were not found on campus.

DESCRIPTION

• White male 50-60 years old
• approx. 5’10”, 180-190 pounds
• Slicked back gray hair and stubble facial hair
• Was wearing a backwards beret/captain style hat
