Work got underway this week on the walkway that runs between Reeve Union and the main entrance to the Student Rec Center. Wisconsin Public Service continues to make changes to their electric and gas services along Algoma Boulevard in advance of the city’s work. These steps prepare the area for reconstruction of Algoma Boulevard and all of the sections of Algoma Blvd. through the UWO Oshkosh campus will be replaced this Spring/Summer.

Next week, Dorner Inc. will be working on High Avenue from the Vine Avenue intersection to approximately 300 feet northwest of the intersection and on Vine Avenue between High Avenue and Algoma Boulevard, completing storm, sanitary, water and concrete paving work. This means that High Avenue will be closed at the intersection of Vine Ave while this work is completed.

During the 10 weeks of the project, the north access to lot 27 (from Vine) will be closed and while the intersection of High Ave and Vine Ave is closed access to lot 27 will remain open on High Ave. Community members who wish to access this parking lot will do so by traveling on the temporary two-way access of High Ave. 

Pearl Avenue will continue to have closures through March 14 to 15. 

We ask for your continued patience and understanding as this major upgrade to the main traffic route running through the Oshkosh campus progresses.
