UW Oshkosh Police Department is a proud partner of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics

We host our own event called Run with the Cops: (THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED FOR 2020 – LOOK FOR US IN 2021)
Join officers from over 20 local law enforcement agencies for the UW Oshkosh Run with the Cops event to benefit Special Olympics Wisconsin.

You’ll glow from head-to-toe!
A night run wouldn’t be complete without glow goodies! Stop at the glow stations along the course and get decked out in necklaces, bracelets and blue and red lights. Check your speed on the radar trailer as you cross the police-taped finish line. Then, relax with coffee and donuts while you snap selfies in the “jail cell”.

Register, Raise Funds & Reap Rewards!
5K Run/Walk – $25.00
Kid’s Dash/Obstacle Course – $15.00
Virtual 5K Run – $30.00

virtual run packageWhat’s a virtual race? It’s a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. Down your neighborhood road, on a treadmill or on a local trail. The choice is yours while still supporting Special Olympics Wisconsin! You run your race, at your own pace. The virtual race package includes a medal, race bib, t-shirt and glow item will be shipped directly to your doorstep (after Sept. 24). Need some music to help you out, check out this playlist that includes some of the greatest cop songs of all time!

Once registered online for any of the options, you’ll have a personal fundraising page you can share with family and friends with email or Facebook. You can raise funds to cover your registration fee, but why stop there? Continue to fundraise and push to meet incentives.

Did you know the average fundraising is $42? Raise the bar to $50 or beyond to help Special Olympics as a whole celebrate 50 years in 2018 and make the next 50 even better!

On average, to support one athlete for one year is $552. Just think of the impact we could make if every team supported an athlete. Challenge each other, have fun and change lives right here in Wisconsin!
