The MPA alumna, Cindy Anderson, who recently became the Executive Director of BSP Free clinic, had the privilege to meet with Representative Diane Hesselbein, Senator John Erpenbach, Interim Director of Health Karen Timberlake, and Governor Tony Evers to discuss the health care needs of uninsured Wisconsinites and the role of free clinics in meeting those needs.

A post-tour conference was held with full press coverage during which Governor Evers signed legislation to expand Medicaid in Wisconsin and introduced a call for a special session in our legislature to accept the proposal to take $1 Billion in aid to provide for critical infra-stucture and numerous other projects in the State. This will include $2 Million in funding to be earmarked for free clinics.

Ms. Anderson shared that it was an amazing opportunity to be able to meet and talk with this impressive group of health minded politicians.
