Shamrock Shuffle 5k Run/Walk (all ages)

Race starts at 10am

Start your St. Patrick’s Day celebrations off on the right foot!

This 5k run/walk is hosted by the UWO Student Recreation and Wellness Center. The route starts along the beautiful Fox River and UWO Campus, and loops out to Titan Stadium, starting and ending at the Student Recreation and Wellness Center, located at 735 Pearl Ave in Oshkosh.

This event is open to any fitness level and has something for everyone! Wanting a competitive start to your 5k season? We will have a race clock at the start/finish line to track your personal time and progress. Looking for more of a social shuffle? Enjoy the the views along the route at a comfortable pace. Strollers and well-behaved leashed dogs are also welcome, bring out the whole family! This community fun run raises money for:

$20 for Community Members, $17 for UW Oshkosh Students

Beat Clash Kids Dash (ages 4-10)

Dash starts at 9am

Get your little leprechauns some movement at this fun run for kids! Located inside the RecPlex Dome, participants will lap the full-sized turf soccer field (about a 1k). The temperature controlled bubble is the perfect spot for kids to “compete” in their very own run. Clash the Titan will be there for photos and cheering on the competitors as they cross the finish line to receive a medal.

COVID-19 and Refund Policy

UW Oshkosh is committed to the safety of students, staff, faculty, and the surrounding community. Mask wearing is required inside all buildings on campus, and a properly worn mask will be required inside the SRWC on race day. Refund Policy

Registration fees for this event are non-refundable. This is a charity run that benefits the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh, the UWO Police Department K9 Fund, and the scholarships of Student Recreation and Wellness Center. The Shamrock leadership team is hopeful that the current state of the pandemic, inclement weather, or some other unforeseen circumstance won’t cause a cancellation for this event. In the event that there is a cancellation, registration fees will not be returned and will be used to pay for any incurred race expenses and donated to the listed beneficiaries.

Guaranteed T-Shirt Date

Included in your race registration is a unisex tri-blend long sleeve shirt. We will be placing our final shirt order on Thursday, March 3rd. Any orders made after this date are not guaranteed their T shirt Size. We will update our registration prompts as we run out of certain sizes.

T-Shirt Pick Up

Included in your registration is a unisex tri-blend long sleeve race shirt. You have 3 options to get your shirt:

Thursday 3/10 from 12-7pm at UW Oshkosh Student Rec & Wellness Center
Friday 3/11 from 12-7pm at UW Oshkosh Student Rec & Wellness Center
Saturday 3/12 (race day) 8:30-9:30am

If you are coming Thursday or Friday to pick up your shirt, you can use our main entrance and the T-Shirt pick up station will be located just inside to your right. Saturday pick up will be in our 3-court gym pre-event space.

you are allowed to pick up shirts for other racers
there are no chip timers, so there are no race bibs to pick up, just a shirt
if you want to exchange your shirt for a different size, we can do so with our exchange pile. There is no guarantee that the exchange pile will have your desired size

Teams and Timing

Due to ongoing supply chain issues and product shortages experienced nationwide as a result of the pandemic, we are required to place our T-shirt order as early as possible this year. Dropping the Team names printed on the back of shirts like we have done in the past makes our order and operations much more streamlined. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused, but we still encourage you to rally your family, friends, coworkers and running clubs to join you at the shuffle!

Both the 5k and Kids Dash are fun runs! There will be no chipped timers on bibs. We will have an official race clock at the Start/Finish line of both events so individuals can track their own times if desired.

Parking is available in any legal, non-reserved space for the Shamrock Shuffle. Lot #13 is the recommended lot for race participants.

FAQs

Are dogs allowed on the course?
Well-behaved and leashed (6ft leash maximum) dogs are allowed on the course. However, only Service Dogs are allowed inside the SRWC or other on-campus buildings.

Are strollers allowed on the course?
Yes! Strollers are allowed on the course.

Is the course and SRWC Handicap Accessible?
Yes it is!
