Victor Alatorre from the Division of University Affairs has been appointed as the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh’s Restructuring project lead. Alatorre will help manage the ongoing work further connecting the three campuses of UW Oshkosh–UW Oshkosh, UW-Fond du Lac and UW-Fox Valley.

In early April, the firm Huron Consulting completed its Restructuring project management work. Alatorre has been asked to serve as the project lead for the third stage of the Restructuring, now underway. His responsibilities will involve working alongside university leaders to address the many ongoing logistical efforts related to the Restructuring project. These include:

  • Organizational planning, the advancement of recommendations and the communication of the outcomes of decisions through appropriate channels.
  • Timely sunsetting of Restructuring functional teams as they complete their official duties.
  • Maintenance of an improved project roadmap and delivery of transitional outcomes.
  • Management of communications and updates between the university and the central UW System project management office. Victor will serve as the point of contact between UW Oshkosh restructuring principals, UW System leadership and the university’s functional leaders.

Once the Restructuring efforts are complete, Alatorre will serve as UW Oshkosh’s liaison to the UW System helping oversee negotiations and the transition of shared services.
