BS in Radio TV Film, University of Wisconsin Oshkosh

Tyler comes to UW Oshkosh from WDJT – Milwaukee, CBS 58, where he worked as a broadcast maintenance engineer. In that role, Tyler was responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, supporting newscasts and training photographers and multimedia journalists on the use of new equipment. He also served as the drone coordinator for channel 58’s parent company, maintaining necessary legal documentation as well as monitoring emerging trends and changing laws related to drone use. Tyler previously worked as a photojournalist, a production specialist and a broadcast engineer at other television broadcast facilities and in the field. As the Broadcast and IT Engineer, Tyler works with Broadcast Operations Manager Bill Kerkhof and Radio TV Film faculty to operate and upgrade the facilities of WRST-FM, Titan TV and equipment checkout operations.

Tyler works with students to ensure they have what they need to complete their production assignments, and to help with technical questions. Stop in to say hello, Tyler is always happy to share knowledge and to answer questions.
