KEVIN CRAWFORD

Research Interests: Environmental Chemistry, Persistent Organic Pollutants, Water, Sediment, Emerging Contaminants

Dr. Crawford has conducted research on the contamination of stormwater pond and river sediments, including risk analysis for humans and wildlife and modeling based on land use. He is a board member of the Fox Wolf Watershed Alliance. In addition to environmental research he has worked to characterize oak-derived wine flavors and capsaicin in hot peppers.

SIRT Affiliation: Dr. Crawford helps manage the campus gardens space and served as the founding director of the Sustainability Institute for Regional Transformations from 2017-2020.
