Research Interests: Environmental History, Sustainable Agriculture
Dr. Filipiak has taught a variety of courses related to sustainability issues, including “History of Sustainable Agriculture,” “Women, Sustainability, and Religion,” “History of Environmental Inequality,” “Wisconsin Farms Oral History,” “Environmental Issues,” and “Women, Food and Environment in U.S. History.” He regularly teaches “Introduction to Sustainability.” He is revising a manuscript on the history of sustainable agriculture, “Using Without Reducing: Wendell Berry and Wes Jackson on Knowledge, Nature and Agriculture.”
