Courtney Bauder currently serves as the Director for the Social Justice Minor Program. Within that role he teaches course that focus on issues of social justice that answer signature questions related to both intercultural knowledge and sustainability. He also teaches the Social Justice Capstone course which focuses on global issues of social justice. In this role as instructor and in his committee work supporting sustainability initiatives he has worked to try to help students, faculty, and staff come to an understanding that issues of sustainability need to be understood using the approach of examining issues from the three pillars perspective, namely social, economic, and environmental.
