Jessica teaches Introduction to Social Justice as a Quest 1 course. This course focusing on areas of sustainability examines how the lack of care for the planet has disproportionately affected those in poorer communities, people of color, and by gender. Jessica teaches how local, national, and global social systems can become sustainable in a way that preserves social justice and economic well-being. The students practice this through a final project called Art for Sustainable Social Change.
