Rebecca Durbin began working in the library on the Fox Cities campus in November 2019. Her duties included proctoring, supervising student workers, managing the circulation desk and serving as the Fox Book Club adviser. She was honored with the Larry White University Staff award for going above and beyond since the start of the pandemic to help students feel safe and welcome in the library. This includes the creation of engaging and diverse displays, implementation of cleaning procedures to keep the library open and safe and making sure she knew students’ names to create a personal connection. She was a stable and friendly support for students who often needed extra help and went the extra mile to ensure students with testing accommodations had what they needed to be successful.
