Tammy Ladwig

A faculty member for 17 years, Tammy Ladwig, currently in the women and gender studies department in the College of Education and Human Services, brings her passion for teaching and developing teachers to her classes and in the schools. She consistently builds strong learning communities and rapport that students regard as long lasting and impactful. Service learning is the framework with which her classes are grounded. She creates environments to ensure safe and inclusive spaces for all.

Supporting personal growth and evolution of the students in her charge, she guides them to a deeper understanding of themselves to be the best teacher they can be. Research and practice focus on alternative education in our public schools and her service and leadership roles are marked within the University and in the community.
