Debra Suess

Debra Suess has been an administrative assistant in the kinesiology department since December 2014. In recent years she has helped out in the professional counseling office, covering for a summer as they worked to hire a new department assistant; worked in the College of Nursing’s dean’s office for a summer; and worked in the physics office for two years. The only college she has not worked in is the College of Business, but Suess has her bachelor’s degree in human resources from the College of Business.

She was nominated by Kristy Newton in the Registrar’s office, who says she is a fantastic resource on campus. Suess has been the point of contact for the Registrar’s office and all academic departments for wait lists and helps train new hires.

Suess truly enjoys coming to work every day, thrives on working with other campus departments and has no clue when she may retire. She also works part time at the YMCA as an instructor for water aerobics, and enjoys seeing her kinesiology interns and graduated students who work there.
