Financial Conflict of Interest (FCOI)
Training and disclosure of all significant financial interests that relate to an Investigator’s Institutional responsibilities are required under the regulation. investigator is defined as Principal Investigator, Co-Principal Investigator, and Key Personnel. The policy applies to all Investigators of the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh who have research funded under federal grants or cooperative agreements and applicants seeking federal funding. In addition, some non-federal sponsors apply the federal conflict of interest regulations to their award and conditions.

- Each Investigator must complete training in Financial Conflict of Interest prior to engaging in research related to any federally funded grant.
- UW Oshkosh requires completion of the Conflict of Interest Course through CITI Program. Training instruction can be found here: FCOI CITI Training instructions
- A refresher course provided by CITI Program will be required every (4) four years
