SSS students learn and strengthen their time management, goal setting, organizational skills, stress management, study strategies, and critical thinking skills through their one-on-one meetings with their SSS Advisors and during their weekly Learning Groups.
UW Oshkosh provides a number of resources free of charge to all students. Students can access the resources directly or have their SSS Advisor assist them. The most common resources used by SSS students include:
Tutoring and Supplemental Instruction in academic courses
A remedial program for students with language-based learning disabilities
Services include: resume development; sharpen interviewing skills; obtain professional
apparel through the Clothes Closet; search for internships, part-time and fulltime
positions both on and off-campus
Services include consultations, individual counseling, group therapy, biofeedback,
light therapy and more
