Join TRIO
Students applying for SSS/SSS STEM must be citizens of the United States or meet the residency requirements for federal student financial assistance. Students with documented disabilities may also be eligible for services.
Students are eligible to apply for SSS/SSS STEM if they meet the following requirements.

- U.S. citizen or eligible for federal student financial assistance
- First-generation (neither parent or guardian has earned a four-year degree)
- Family has limited-income as defined by federal guidelines
- UW Oshkosh student on Oshkosh campus

The UW Oshkosh SSS/SSS STEM programs are 100% funded through TRIO grants from the U.S. Department of Education. The award numbers are P042A200162 and P042A200357 at an estimated $3.6 million for the 2020 to 2025 program years.
