Nancy Harrison

Learn about Nancy

Nancy Harrison serves as the Director of the UW Oshkosh SSS program. Working with students is the highlight of her job, but a great deal of her time is spent conducting administrative tasks to assure SSS remains at UW Oshkosh. Prior to joining the SSS family at UW Oshkosh, she started and oversaw the Upward Bound program at UW Manitowoc and UW Sheboygan. Upward Bound is a related TRiO program that is for secondary students (precollege). She has been affiliated with the TRiO programs since 1990.

Jason Herman

Jason advises students in the College of Letter’s and Science who specifically have either a STEM or Health Science major.  His focus is primarily on Athletic Training, Biology, Engineering Technology, Engineering Dual, Physics, Kineseiology, Broadfield Natural Science as well as Math Education.  He is an Alum of UW Oshkosh with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree in Broadfield Social Sciences and a Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership.  Jason has a passion for helping students pursue their academic dreams as well as for the game of Baseball.

Linda Her

Learn about Linda

Linda advises students in the College of Education and Human Services and Social Work students in the College of Letters and Sciences. She has had various experiences within TRIO programs as an alumna from a SSS program and a Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Program. Before joining SSS at UW Oshkosh, Linda was a TRIO Coordinator for the Talent Search Program at UW Fox Valley, SSS’s sister program. She is a licensed Elementary Education teacher and earned her Teaching Certification from Marian University in Fond du lac, Wisconsin. Linda received her Bachelor’s degrees in Asian Studies and Studio Art from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. During her undergrad, she worked for Upward Bound and was also a Mentor for students in both Upward Bound and Talent Search while at St.Olaf. As a passionate educator who works to empower the students she serves, Linda is excited to join the the SSS team!  

Cindy Lopez Johnson

Cindy advises students in the College of Letters & Science. She received her undergrad in Human Development and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. She then went on to receive her Master’s degree in Higher Education with an emphasis in College Student Affairs from the University Arkansas at Little Rock.

Steve advises students in the College of Nursing and the College of Business. He received his Bachelor ofBusiness Administration in Management from UW-Green Bay. He then went on to receive his Master ofScience in College Student Personnel from Western Illinois University.

Crystal advises students in the College of Letters and Science who are interested inpursuing careers in the science or healthcare field. She has previous experience inadvising and in TRIO Talent Search. She will say that TRIO is one of her mostrewarding careers she’s worked in. Crystal enjoys assisting students in their journey atUW Oshkosh. She’ll often say, it’s amazing to watch the students grow and develop intoyoung professionals that they work so hard to become. Crystal’s college path took aboutsix years due to some learning disability obstacles throughout college. Withperseverance, she did graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication andeventually went on to achieve her Master’s Degree in Student Personnel Administration.She wants students to believe in themselves and to never give up no matter how hardcollege may seem.

Georgia joined Student Support Services (SSS) and Student Support Services STEM (SSS STEM) as the Program Assistant in February of 2019.  She started her career at UWO in January of 2014 in Project Success. Georgia enjoys interacting with students, spending time with family and friends and being outdoors.
