Join STEM Outreach for the 2017 STEM Safari!

Registration for this event is now closed, but we will have some sessions available for walk-in students. Walk-ins may choose either “Comets, Bridge Building, and Brighten Up” OR “Bubble Blast, Are you Going to Eat That, and Comets”

Please arrive at the Halsey Science Building on the UW Oshkosh campus by 8:45 am to register for the event. The building address is 921 Elmwood Ave., Oshkosh, WI.

Cost is $15 at the door, and we can accept cash or check. We are unable to process credit cards.

Programming Robots 
Come play with our robot kits designed by LEGO for kids your age! Make them drive, light up, spin, and more

Breaking Bridges
Can you build a bridge out of toothpicks that can hold 10 lbs without breaking? Meet our challenge and see if you have what it takes to be a junior engineer

Brighten Up
Create some squishy glowing creatures, and light up the classroom as you learn how to build circuits with our snap circuit kits

Hovercraft 
Ride on a cushion of air on our hovercraft, and build your own miniature version to take home

Spa Science
Come make lotions, bath salts, and more as you explore the chemistry behind products designed for a relaxing day at the spa

Bubble Blast
Get captured in a giant 6 foot tall bubble with our super solution! Learn the secret science of bubbles as well as some neat bubble tricks to share with your friends

Comets 
Take an imaginary trip to space and build some comets, including a tasty frozen one made out of ice cream made right in class

Fantastic Physics
Learn how to throw an egg as hard as you can without breaking it, how to bounce a ball higher than your house without trying, and other fun tricks using science

Bottle Rockets 
Make a water rocket and launch it over a 3 story building. Compete with your friends to see who can get the most altitude

Are You Going to Eat That
Take a cultural journey, and learn about interesting (and sometimes gross) foods that are eaten around the world. We’ll even bake some fresh cookies for you to enjoy
