Resources

There are many campus resources and programs that can support theatre students both in and outside of the classroom.

Reading Study Center

The Reading and Study Skills Center works with students of all abilities in developing the reading and study strategies that are essential for academic and career success. We teach academic skills courses, provide individual learning strategies, personal coaching and provide insightful presentations and workshops that improve a student’s textbook study, time management and test preparation.

Polk Library

Polk Library has a variety of study environments making it a great place to work on assignments and group projects. In addition to Polk’s selection of books, media titles and primary source collections on the shelves, students have borrowing privileges across the UW System, including UWMadison, which boasts one of the 10 largest academic library collections in the country. On top of that, Polk has an all electronic journal collection of more than 50,000 titles. Polk also offers a growing streaming video collection for access to important documentaries and licensed educational video content.

Writing Center

The UWO Writing Center is a relaxed, friendly place to get free feedback on writing, presentations, and speeches. We are open to all current (both undergraduate and graduate) UWO students. The Writing Center provides free face-to-face sessions for writers of any level in any discipline. Use the Writing Center at any stage of the writing process for any assignment or project.
