COVID testing, vaccinations, fall 2021
Kurt Liebold, UW Oshkosh Police Chief | May 13, 2021
Dear University community,
As we head into summer, there is one more thing we’d like you to put on your to-do list: Get vaccinated.
Get your first dose of COVID-19 vaccine on the Oshkosh campus at the Culver Center, 625 Pearl Ave. All you have to do is walk in during the following hours and days (these days/hours valid through Friday, May 14):
- Noon to 5 p.m. Thursday (today)
- 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday
Beginning Monday, May 17, walk-in hours at the Culver site will be:
- 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays
- Noon to 5 p.m. Tuesdays
- 9 to 11 a.m. Fridays
Culver is open to those ages 12 and older, but a parent or guardian must accompany everyone ages 12 to 17 and remain while the child is at the site.
Free community walk-in clinics also are held 1 to 6 p.m. Wednesdays, at Sunnyview Expo Center, 500 E. County Road, Y, Oshkosh; offering the 1-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
Visit the Fond du Lac County Public Health webpage for vaccine availability through this agency.
If you received a two-dose vaccine, visit https://www.vaccines.gov/ to find a convenient location to get your second dose. You don’t need to get your second dose where you received your first.
Once you are fully vaccinated please complete the COVID-19 vaccination report form on the Titans Return website. Achieving a high degree of vaccinations within our University community will help us continue to move our campuses toward normal operations.
The COVID-19 community testing site at Culver Family Welcome Center, 625 Pearl Ave., will close Friday, May 14. Testing ended May 5 on the Fox Cities campus and May 12 on the Fond du Lac campus.
Testing will continue this summer at Albee on the Oshkosh campus:
- 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Noon to 4 p.m. Wednesdays
Mobile COVID-19 testing in the Culver center parking lot will be available 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays and Fridays, beginning Friday, May 21. To request a test at the mobile site, visit DoINeedaCovid19test.com.
For a list of testing sites in Wisconsin, visit the Wisconsin Department of Health Services website.
We are finalizing a plan to guide operations for fall 2021. We will provide you with more details beginning next week and will update the Titans Return website to reflect our fall plans. Please continue to watch your email for important updates that will impact you.
