Fox Cities Campus Testing
COVID-19 self tests will be available to all UWO employees, their immediate household members and students on the Fox Cities campus in the former bookstore during spring semester according to the following schedule:
10 a.m. to noon Mondays
1 to 2 p.m. Tuesdays
Noon to 2 p.m. Thursdays
These will be rapid self-tests. Stop in at these locations during the listed times and pick up a test. You must administer the test on site and wait about 15 minutes for the result.
After your test
If you receive an off-campus test for COVID-19, please report the result as soon as possible through the Off-Campus COVID-19 Test Result Reporting Form.
If you receive a positive COVID-19 test result, self-isolation is required. Do not go to work, school or public areas. Learn more about your next steps via the buttons below.
A negative test result does not mean you do not have COVID-19. The incubation period for the virus can be up to 14 days, so if you have already been instructed to self-quarantine and monitor symptoms, you should continue your self-quarantine for as long as originally instructed regardless of whether you receive a negative test result.
UW Oshkosh and UW System have invested a great deal of time, energy and resources and set up partnerships with healthcare organizations and public health to manage testing and contact tracing. We have created COVID-19 tester and contact tracer positions on our Oshkosh campus. We have set up a testing site in Albee Hall and we will be conducting cohort testing to provide a steady stream of testing samples to monitor the virus on our campuses.
We have a solid plan, but our plan will only work if we all do our part. That means wearing a mask, maintaining physical distancing, washing your hands. If we want to keep our campuses open, we must be diligent, we must be consistent, we must have compassion and care for ourselves and others. Large gatherings, house parties and other behavior typical around college campuses will create conditions that require us to quickly alter our plans.
