Masks, masks, masks
UWO Police Chief Kurt Leibold | February 4, 2021
Two short reminders for you today:
Face masks are required on the three campuses of UW Oshkosh.
A decision by the State of Wisconsin to change the mask mandate at the state level does not impact the requirement to wear a mask on our campuses.
We know that wearing face masks can help us stem the spread of COVID-19. That along with other safety practices and our testing program have helped us keep our positive case numbers low. On Feb. 3 we had 2 new cases of COVID-19 with 377 tests of students and staff. Our percent positive rate for the past seven days is .7%, less than 1%. We also have only 9 active cases.
KEEP WEARING YOUR MASKS.
Testing exemption
Please continue to fill out the testing exemption form if you have received the COVID-19 vaccine (first or second dose). We are maintaining a list and will reach out to you to exempt you from testing when CDC guidelines recommend those exemptions be allowed.
Thank you for your time.
