Students, staff, faculty should test for COVID-19 at Albee
UWOPD Chief Kurt Leibold | November 19, 2020
Dear University community,
Due to expanded testing capacity, we are asking all students, faculty and staff members who need a COVID-19 test going forward to schedule that test at the Albee testing site.
This will allow us to better meet the need for community testing at the Culver site. And by testing University staff, faculty and students at Albee we will be able to continue tracking cases on our campus and moving forward with disease investigation and contact tracing.
The testing protocol for those leaving for the Thanksgiving holiday outlined in the email you received Nov. 17 remains in effect for all students and staff. We are asking all students who leave campus for Thanksgiving break to sign up for a COVID-19 test at Albee before they leave and upon their return. The reentry tests do not need to be completed before returning to face-to-face classes. Staff intending to travel for the holiday also are encouraged to get a test before they leave.
Please register using the Prevea app.
Albee will be open:
- 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Nov. 23 and 24
- 8 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Nov. 25
- 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 29
- 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, beginning Nov. 30
We have provided you with a lot of information related to testing over the past couple of weeks. I know this email changes some of the messaging we sent to you as recently as earlier this week, but COVID-19 has shown us that flexibility and adaptability are key factors to responding to this pandemic. As always, we appreciate your efforts to keep yourself and others safe and healthy.
