A free concert of the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Fox Cities concert band will take place in-person on Friday evening.

The Fox Valley Concert Band begins its performance at 7:30 p.m. in Perry Hall on the UWO Fox Cities campus in Menasha.

Under the direction of Marc Sackman, the band’s fall concert will feature Theresa Martin on the clarinet in Scott McAllister’s Black Dog; and the Wisconsin premier of Three Latin Dances by Giovanni Santos.

Also on the program, is music by Frank Ticheli (Rest); Aaron Copland (Outdoor Overture); and Richard Wagner (Elsa’s Procession to Cathedral).

The concert band will perform Hands Across the Sea, a march by John Philip Sousa.

For everyone’s safety, all members in the audience will be required to wear a face mask. Band members also will be masked and using instrument bell covers for the protection of all.
