SHAMROCK SHUFFLE: People and pups enjoyed the return of UW Oshkosh’s 5K run/walk in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day and in support of the Boys and Girls Club of Oshkosh, the UWO police department’s K9 fund and Student Recreation and Wellness Center scholarships.

EDUCATION CAREER FAIR: In March, education students networked and connected with employers from nearly 40 area school districts during the event organized by UWO Career and Professional Development.

THANK A DONOR DAY: Students, faculty and staff expressed their gratitude in April to UWO supporters by writing notes of appreciation at Reeve Union.

TITANS X2: Alumni-employees were treated to a special breakfast last fall in celebration of their contributions to their alma mater. More than 500 alumni work as faculty or staff on UWO’s three campuses.

EXPLORING ACADEMICS: February brought the first-ever academic open houses to the Fox Cities and Fond du Lac campuses. The events showcased the diverse options access campus students can consider for their academic futures.

BLACK HISTORY MONTH: More than words was the theme for the month full of events in February, including this Afrobeat dance class. Organizers included the African American studies program, the Black Student Union and Academic Support of Inclusive Excellence.

BARBER RICH: Titan Men of Diversity Week featured a visit from Rich Mitchell, aka “Barber Rich,” who offered free haircuts and life wisdom to UWO students in April.

A FAREWELL TO PRESIDENT THOMPSON: The UWO community offered a warm send-off to UW System President Tommy Thompson during a March event at the Culver Family Welcome Center.

WHITBURN WEDNESDAY: UWO’s Whitburn Center for Governance and Policy Research launched a new event series to focus discussion on a variety of pressing issues from a wide range of viewpoints. In February, participants tackled the opioid epidemic in Wisconsin.

NIGHTINGALE NURSES: UWO’s College of Nursing recognized five Wisconsin nurses in April at the annual Nightingale Awards Ceremony held at the Culver Family Welcome Center.

ALUMNI WARM UP: UWO grads living or spending their winter months in Arizona and Florida celebrated their Titan pride and caught up with fellow classmates at gatherings hosted by Alumni Relations in February and March.
