The 10th annual MajorFest, an event to help University of Wisconsin Oshkosh students who are undecided, considering switching their major or thinking about graduate school, will be held on Thursday, April 14.

MajorFest is designed to assist first-year students who have not declared a major as well as those students who are considering a change of major or minor or applying for graduate school. The casual event will be held from 2-4 p.m. in Reeve Memorial Union ballrooms.

“The event is for all students who want to learn more about majors and minors at UW Oshkosh,” said Erin Anderson, academic advisor for the Undergraduate Advising Resource Center. “Faculty and students are there to talk to and represent their department.”

Staff from UARC, Counseling Center, Career Planning & Placement Center and Admissions, along with faculty from almost every department on campus attends this event to assist students in making informed decisions when it comes to their academic careers. These UW Oshkosh staff and faculty members will present interactive displays and answer questions about various programs. Food and prizes will also be available at the event.

“This is a great opportunity for students to learn more about majors and minors they are interested in and to connect with faculty and students,” Anderson said. “This is one opportunity to explore all of their options in one place.”
