The American Democracy Project invites student groups and individuals to participate in our Creating a Stronger Community Contest. The contest is co-sponsored by the Earth Charter and the UW Foundation and other community entities. This event is an opportunity to show your creativity and commitment to your community through innovative projects.

The mission of the Creating a Stronger Community Contest is to encourage civic engagement and community involvement by promoting education beyond the boundaries of the classroom through service and creativity. All applications are due on September 26, 2011.  They will be reviewed by a committee and the top three finalists will present their project during Earth Charter Week.  Those in attendance will be able to vote for their favorite project.  This unconventional contest allows members of the Oshkosh community to create homegrown projects that will positively affect the community.  It also allows UW Oshkosh and Oshkosh community members to be a part of the process in selecting the winner.

For more information, visit the ADP website at http://www.uwosh.edu/adp.
