In the second UWO Now podcast of 2024, University of Wisconsin Oshkosh alumna Jeni (Kimmet) Asaba ’06, discusses following her path to a successful career as senior manager of community engagement and advocacy at JAMF in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a firm that oversees Apple device management. The biweekly podcast, hosted by UWO’s Wendell Ray, is available on Apple, Google, Spotify, Amazon and YouTube. Episodes also air at 5:30 p.m. Friday on 90.3 WRST-FM.

 

Asaba, who currently resides in Robbinsdale, Minnesota, earned a bachelor’s degree in 2006 with a major in journalism. She credits her UWO education with helping advance her career, beginning with newspaper positions in Wisconsin and New York City. She made a career pivot in 2008 and become an award-winning community manager for a Twin Cities tech company and founded two nonprofits to help people in her community. She was named a Distinguished Alumni in 2023.
