University of Wisconsin Oshkosh student Diana Cartier was presented the inaugural Volunteer Appreciation Award for the time she dedicated to 2008 Fall Fest on the Fox.
Cartier, of Green Bay, volunteered to work from 7 to 10 a.m. Sept. 20 at the Fall Fest Family Land at the Dragon Boat Race and Festival. She ended up staying until 3:30 p.m., assisting with beading necklace, painting faces and applying water-skin tattoos.
The Volunteer Appreciation Award, granted by UW Oshkosh and Ambassador Travel, entitles the recipient to an $800 travel package, which can be redeemed for airline tickets or tour/cruise packages.
