The following announcements were supplied by the Office of Grants and Faculty Development:

•  UW Oshkosh received $138,136 from Shell International Exploration and Production Inc. for “Field Petrographic and Detrital Zircon Analysis of Siliciclastic Turbidites in the Nanpanjiang Basin of South China.” Daniel Lehrmann, geology, is the project director.

• UW Oshkosh received $261,167 from the National Science Foundation for “REU Site: Exploring Open Source Software: Development and Efficacy of Online Learning Environments in Computer Science.” Thomas Naps and David Furcy, computer science, are the project directors.

• UW Oshkosh has received $3,000 from UW System Institute on Race and Ethnicity for “Race and Human Variation: A Curriculum Development Proposal.” Stephanie Spehar, religious studies and anthropology, is the project director.
