When completed in December 2013, it will serve as the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh’s new front door, the prominent, elegant and easily-accessible front porch where, literally, campus meets community.

UW Oshkosh, UW Oshkosh Foundation and alumni and community leaders gathered on a rain-drenched Homecoming Saturday, Oct. 13 to break ground on the $12 million Alumni Welcome and Conference Center.

The 40,000 square foot privately-fundraised and donor-supported center will be located at Wisconsin Street and Pearl Avenue off the Fox River and will serve as a landing spot and home for returning alumni, a starting point for campus visitors and guests and a hub for community, corporate and student events.
