The Classified Staff Advisory Council (CSAC) Awards & Recognition Committee is proud to present the first CSAC Richard H. Wells STAR Award to Dylan Stolley.

Artistic, patient and professional describe Dylan Stolley.

Dylan Stolley began his career with UW Oshkosh in July 2004 with University Relations. Beginning with the first photograph, Dylan started building a pictorial history for the Classified Staff Advisory Council, including the Outstanding Performance Award (OPA), STAR Award, Classified Staff Development & Appreciation Day (CSDAD) as well as other multiple projects with classified staff.

Over the years, Dylan has been available all hours of the day and evening to take photographs of events. He endures in rain, snow, heat and any other type of weather to get the perfect photograph. No matter the conditions, Dylan goes out of his way to help everyone have a good time and feel at ease while being photographed. Many times Dylan will have to get a picture through a crowd, but he always does it with a smile and being conscientious of bystanders.

When Dylan was taking individual or group photographs in the studio, his artistic side flourished, creating what he felt was the perfect picture. He also spent extra time explaining the process he uses for each photograph and worked with each subject to make sure that he/she was satisfied with the end product. How many times can you ask people to say “cheese” with a note of conviction that everyone will smile? When Dylan took the photos, they always did. The finished product was a keepsake every time.

Dylan uses his knowledge to assist with Web pages, including the CSAC pages. He answers questions on how to use photos, where to find certain layouts and shares any other resources that he knows of.

As University Relations began transitioning to Integrated Marketing and Communications (IMC), Dylan began transitioning to the Division of Lifelong Learning and Community Engagement as a photographer. With this transition he brought along his contagious enthusiasm for photography and made it a point to put together a disk of all the pictures he had taken for CSAC. Dylan made sure that the gallery of pictures he took for CSAC would be preserved for the future leaders of CSAC.

During his tenure at UW Oshkosh, Dylan has developed and nurtured many strong relationships throughout the campus while working on projects with classified staff. His commitment to the growth and advancement of the classified staff has not only contributed to the overall mission of CSAC to promote a positive professional environment for all classified employees, but also to the University as a whole.

Dylan is always willing to lend his photographic eye while his finger is armed and ready on a camera. As an artist, his photographic legacy at UW Oshkosh will be forever preserved as an accurate reflection of the University community. The Classified Staff Advisory Council Awards & Recognition Committee admires and wholeheartedly appreciates the pictorial history that Dylan Stolley has provided the classified staff. A picture may be worth a thousand words, but Dylan Stolley and his commitment to his art is truly priceless.
