The Student Leadership and Involvement Center and Chancellor’s Office recognized student groups and individual leaders who have made a significant contribution to the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh inside and outside of the classroom.

The following awards were announced April 23 at the annual Student Leadership and Involvement Awards ceremony and reception:

Student organization awards

  • Social Event of the Year — Reeve Union Board
  • Most Improved Organization — Oshkosh Gaming Society
  • Publicity of the Year — Reeve Union Board
  • Outstanding Cultural Event Award — Club Nippon
  • Outstanding Academic/Educational Program Award — University Speaker Series
  • Innovation and Creativity Award — Reeve Union Board
  • Co-Sponsorship of the Year Award — Club Nippon
  • Community Service/Contribution to Community — Hmong Student Union

Individual awards

  • Outstanding Student Organization President — Ashley Wangberg, USRH

Each student organization award recipient received a $50 Reeve Memorial Union gift card and his or her name on a plaque in the union. Each individual award recipient received a $250 scholarship and his or her name on a plaque in the union.
