The University of Wisconsin Oshkosh features several events to recognize and celebrate veterans on campus.

Here is a quick synopsis of the free events that will take place during Veterans Week 2014 at UW Oshkosh:

 

Saturday, Nov. 8

2 p.m.; Titan Stadium
Veteran appreciation football game at 2 p.m. at Titan Stadium. Check our your Titans as they take on UW–Eau Claire. Admission is free for all veterans!

 

Tuesday, Nov. 11

8 a.m.; Dempsey Hall
Help the VRC staff honor our student veterans by placing more than 500 American Flags in front of Dempsey Hall to represent each student and family member using veteran benefits on campus.

10 a.m.–2 p.m.; Reeve 215
FREE ACUPUNCTURE—Receive a free session of stress-relieving acupuncture from Westshore Acupuncture in Reeve Union, Room 215.

3–6 p.m.; SRWC
Free chair massage for veterans!  Stop by the Student Recreation and Wellness Center.

 

Wednesday, Nov. 12

6 p.m.; Reeve Union Ballroom
Hear the inspirational story of Navy veteran and Notre Dame football hero Rudy Ruettiger, made famous by the 1993 film RUDY, in the Reeve Union Ballroom. Admission is free!

 

Thursday, Nov. 13

6 p.m.; Sage 1210

Watch the Triangle of Death documentary and see the harrowing story of Marines from 2/24 as they battle the insurgency in Iraq. Hear firsthand about the war from the Marines who were there. Admission is free!
