University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Chancellor Andrew J. Leavitt issued the following on Feb. 10, 2015:

“Thank you to the hundreds of you who came to the Budget Town Hall sessions during the last two days. An engaged campus community is exactly what we need to move this institution forward during these trying times of change.

“As I’ve said leading up and during my presentation on the budget, there are both opportunities and challenges we will face moving forward as an institution. I am most thankful for the constructive input and concerns that came out of the last two days. I’m thankful to those who asked questions and offered solutions.

“As you know, I believe in transparency and fairness. I also believe listening from a variety of angles and perspectives is crucial—it’s something I’m committed to.

“It is very important to me to get input directly from faculty, staff and students about how we are going to handle the upcoming budget challenges and process at UW Oshkosh.

“With that, the next month and a half will bring a series of breakfast forums. The scheduled Chancellor’s Breakfast Forums are an opportunity for members of the campus community to engage with me in productive dialogue about the future of UW Oshkosh.

“Thank you for your trust and constructive advocacy. I think the future at UW Oshkosh is very bright and I look forward to your continuous feedback and ideas as we move this institution forward.
