UW Oshkosh Spring Horn DayThe University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Department of Music will host the UW Oshkosh Spring Horn Day on Saturday, April 23 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Arts and Communication building.

French horn players of all ages and abilities are invited to attend a one-day French horn workshop featuring guest artists the Uber Horn Quartet from Chicago.

The UW Oshkosh Spring Horn Day includes small and large horn ensembles, master classes, a concert, high school solo competitions with cash prizes, special break-out sessions for middle school students for help with music and horn technique, and a high school solo competition with cash prizes and fun!

“This one day festival is a great opportunity for horn players of all ages from around the state to come together, make music and learn more about horn playing,” said Bruce Atwell, UW Oshkosh professor of horn and principal horn player with the Milwaukee Ballet Orchestra, the Fox Valley Symphony and the Oshkosh Symphony.

The workshop cost is $30 (lunch is on your own), and participants can register online.
