Busko_Mark_2016Marc Busko, of Kimberly, graduates from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh with a major in economics and will give deliver the afternoon spring commencement speech on behalf of his class May 14.

The commencement ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. at UW Oshkosh’s Kolf Sports Center.

While at UW Oshkosh, Busko was involved with the University Speaker Series, National Society of Leadership and Success and was president of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization (CEO). Busko also worked on campus as a summer tour guide, community adviser, community development specialist and interned with the UW Oshkosh Small Business Development Center.

While in college, Busko started his own public speaking business through the Alta Resources Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Since he was 17, Busko has spoken to more than 10,000 high school students in 12 states on discovering and pursuing their passions.

“Pursuing a passion has been one of the biggest life lessons I’ve learned while at UW Oshkosh,” Busko said. “I’ve learned that we owe it to ourselves and our future selves to pursue the things in our lives that we are most passionate about.”

After graduation, Busko plans to pursue a career at a nonprofit consulting firm.
