Toivo Kallas

Toivo Kallas, biology and microbiology, attended the third-annual Wisconsin Science & Technology at UW-Green Bay in search of investors for his research on using algae to make rubber and biofuels.

Kallas also serves as project director of “Proposals for Extended Funding and Commercial Development of Isoprene Production in a High-light Tolerant Cyanobacterium,” which recently received $3,000 from UW System and WiSys.

Al Hartman

The Oshkosh Chapter of Women in Management Inc. awarded E. Alan Hartman, College of Business professor and former dean, the annual Mentor Award. Hartman was nominated by Jan Brantingham, a former mentee.
