The weekend of July 7-9 marks the 50th anniversary of the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Delta Chi chapter’s annual Summer Get-Together.

Since 1967, the chapter has celebrated with a summer gathering of sporting events, food, drink and camaraderie. Over the years, the fraternity brothers have shared their engagements, weddings, new jobs and new children at the gathering.

The festivities will begin on Friday evening, July 7, with a social gathering and fish fry at the Ground Round at River’s Edge in Oshkosh.

The celebration continues Saturday morning with a continental breakfast and a tour of campus as well as a golf outing. At noon at Menominee Park, a picnic lunch will be served compliments of the Alumni Board of Trustees (ABT), followed by a bags tournament (for both men and women) and the ABT’s annual business meeting. In addition, the annual silent auction to benefit the Delta Chi Klatt Memorial Scholarship Fund will take place, with the winners to be announced at the end of the meeting and tournament.

Saturday festivities will conclude with a banquet (buffet and cash bar) held at UWO’s Alumni Welcome and Conference Center. A program celebrating 50 years of Oshkosh brotherhood will follow the meal. After the program, the festivies will move across the street to Mahoney’s Restaurant and Bar, located on Wisconsin Street across from the AWCC.

Sunday morning, all are invited to breakfast at Primo Restaurant, 2605 Jackson St.
