New Day, New University, New Potential

Welcome to Titan. And welcome to a new day for a new university.

Your new, vibrant alumni magazine exemplifies the latest in a year full
of transformations.

Earlier this year, UW Oshkosh joined with UW-Fond du Lac and UW-Fox Valley: three campuses, one university. The restructuring of the UW System’s two-year colleges presented us with an opportunity to create an institution better positioned to help more people, more organizations and our entire region prosper.

In this inaugural Titan, and in those to come, you will see our past and our potential better reflected. You will learn the latest from our three campuses, and you will see the reflection of your milestones and triumphs.

Already we boast new initiatives and celebrations to rally us around three campuses, one university. The Titan Alumni Foundation has launched, encouraging our support. We are thrilled to invite you to the first-ever Black and Gold Scholarship Ball on March 30 to support students and foundations at each campus.

As investors in the futures of our students, we see phenomenal returns. For example, we know that 85 percent of the Oshkosh campus graduates choose to continue living, working, serving, leading, launching businesses and raising families in Wisconsin after graduation. They endow their bright futures to the people and places invested in them.

I’ll let this magazine do the rest of the talking. Like our new university, Titan will continue to evolve, drawing inspiration from your stories and strides. I invite you to share the news of your joys and successes so we can salute you alongside the many other shining examples of this new university’s potential in editions to come.
