The Office of Student Research and Creative Activities at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh has announced fall/winter small grant recipients:

  • Cody Beck, of Theresa, chemistry major, will work with faculty mentor Linfeng Xie on “Dynamic NMR Study of Carbon-Nitrogen Bond Rotation Barrier.”
  • Brianna Beseler, geography and environmental studies major, with faculty mentor Colin Long, “Fire Reconstruction of Bass Lake, Beaver, Wisconsin.”
  • Zel (James) Billings, of Oshkosh, 3D studio art major, with Andrew Redington, “Wire Woods: Inspiration by the Trees of UWO.”
  • Michael Clark, of Stevens Point, geology major, with faculty mentor Eric Hiatt, “Origins of Iron Minerals in The Neda Formation, Eastern Wisconsin.”
  • Annie Docter, of Ripon, psychology major, with faculty mentors Phan Hong and Shelley Lancaster, “Mindfulness and Nursing Simulation.”
  • Chloe Hirschberg, 2D studio art major, of Oshkosh; and Laura Tymm, 3D studio art major, of Kiel, with faculty mentors Gail Panske and Allison Welch, “Documentation Through Cyanotypes.”
  • Rachel Luedtke, of Kewauskum, cellular and molecular biology major, with faculty mentor James Paulson, on “Histone Acetyltransferases and Mitosis.”
  • Will Poppen, of Oshkosh, recording tech major, with faculty mentor John Mayrose, on “Exploring Game Audio Implementation Using Wise.”
  • Sarah Reed, of Green Bay, sociology major, with faculty mentor Jeremiah Bohr on “Health in Planning: Considering the Influence of Land-Use Decisions on Social Isolation in Contrast to Social Loneliness.”
