Jean Kwaterski, the executive director of campus life at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, recently received the Edwin R. Golden Award for Inclusive Excellence from the National Association of College Auxiliary Services (NACAS), the largest auxiliary and ancillary services support organization serving higher education.

“Over my years working in higher education, I have learned the importance of providing an inclusive environment in order for students to thrive,” Kwaterski said.

The Golden award recognizes outstanding campus leadership, activities and/or programs promoting cultural awareness and inclusion.

“It is so important for us as auxiliary leaders to learn and increase our intercultural knowledge and to make our auxiliary units a place where students feel welcome,” Kwaterski said. “I am honored to win this award and am thankful for the experiences I’ve had within NACAS.”
