High School students invited to sit in on a college class

Area high school students are invited go beyond the traditional campus visit experience and sit in on an actual college class during a special Campus Preview event at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 21 at the University of Wisconsin-Fond du Lac.

UW-Fond du Lac’s high school student coordinator Jill Bangart will provide a brief overview of why UW-Fond du Lac is the best start for a college education. This will be followed by a campus tour led by a current university student and the opportunity to participate in a college class with a current UW-Fond du Lac faculty member. The course options include biology, communications, psychology and sociology.

“This is the first-time we’ve invited high school students in for a test drive,” said Bangart. “College classes are much different than high school classes and the professors are looking forward to welcoming them into the classroom for a taste of the college experience.”

Advance registration is required for this event. High school students can reserve their spot by calling the UW-Fond du Lac Student Affairs Office at (920) 929-1122.
