Fundraiser features four-course dinner
UW-Fond du Lac’s recent Corks and Forks event raised $20,655 for student scholarships and the UW-Fond du Lac Foundation. The 200 guests at the fund raising event held on March 20 enjoyed a four-course Greek dinner along with wines from the region. The evening included presentation of the 2014 Spirit of Excellence Award to Fond du Lac County Executive Allen Buechel.
With a check representing the proceeds from the event are from left Bethany Rusch, UW-Fond du Lac assistant dean for administration and finance; Laurie Krasin, UW-Fond du Lac marketing and communications director; Darin Garbisch, UW-Fond du Lac Foundation board president; John Short, UW-Fond du Lac dean and CEO; Kathy Strong Langolf, UW-Fond du Lac special events coordinator; and Patty Brandl, UW-Fond du Lac Foundation executive director. Corks and Forks 2015 will be held on March 26 at the university and will feature Caribbean cuisine.
