Jim Spannbauer, President/CEO of Mid-States Aluminum Corp., displays his Cork Pull winnings, a magnum of wine donated by Festival Foods, at UW-Fond du Lac’s Corks & Forks held on March 30.

The event raised more than $33,000 for student scholarships and the UW-Fond du Lac Foundation. More than 220 guests enjoyed a four-course Spanish tapas-style dinner along with select wines. Rick Parks, president and CEO of Society Insurance, was awarded the 2017 Spirit of Excellence Award for his continuing support of UW-Fond du Lac and the UW-Fond du Lac Foundation. This is the single largest fundraiser at the university.
