UW-Fond du Lac students Alexa Mies (left) as Queen, and Kasey Burg as King, prepare to lead the cast into the Madrigal Dinner event held on Dec. 13 in the University Center Commons. The medieval feast for 170 guests featured members of the UW-Fond du Lac Chorus and Bell Choir. Guests were entertained during the evening by a brass choir, magician, fortune teller, and tumbler and enjoyed a four-course dinner by Linstrom’s Catering.

An annual Madrigal Dinner was a UW-Fond du Lac tradition for 15 years, with the last performance in 1989. The music department, under the direction of Cara Davis, brought the event back to campus for the holiday season. The music students have rehearsed and planned for the show “The Peasant, the Boot, the Prince, and the Mirror” since early September.
